Training Programmes

The Sida- financed training programme “Genetic Resources and Intellectual Property Rights”  (GRIP) will be held in May 2009, 2010 and 2011 at the Swedish_University_of Agricultural_Sciences Campus Alnarp. This is administrated by Svalof Consulting on behalf of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and in conjunction with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI).

Our advanced training programme in “Plant Breeding and Seed Production”, also financed by Sida, will be conducted in September 2009 in association with NIRAS AB.

These training programmes are held in Sweden and they attract participants from all parts of the world. They have a second phase conducted in an overseas country, where participants present their project work, and learn about the status of their own subject areas in the host country in order to broaden their professional experience

Both training programmes take advantage of the resources the Faculty has to offer in the form of prominent lecturers in the international training programmes.  Moreover, the campus environment at Alnarp allows the participants to meet and develop contacts with students, lecturers and researchers in the University.

Customised courses can also be designed and delivered in other countries on request.
